As part of the celebration for the World Cup, we at Haughton Thornley Medical Centres thought it would be good to show you the craze in South Africa for the Diski with a couple of videos from YouTube showing the Diski and how to do it. Whilst this is not for everybody, those that want to have a go and bring a little more exercise into your life and feel up to it - why don't you have a go! Best of all, get your friends together and see if you can do it as a group. It looks like a lot of fun and may also help with your health too!

Do You Know?
More and more people are going on to the internet as each day goes by. But do you know how many and at what rate and what impact that is having on the way we inform people? Here is a You Tube video made by some Sony researchers in 2008 which gives us some idea of what is really happening out there and why it is essential that we embrace this technology but also start to help patients and the public to understand information and services better so that you can look after yourself and your loved ones better!
Enjoy (and turn up the volume !).
