Child
sexual exploitation takes place in many forms. This film attempts to highlight
some of the grooming processes so that young people, their families and
professionals who work with young people can gain some awareness into the
grooming process that could be used to exploit children. It has the elements
for further discussion at home or in groups as the script was specifically
written from research into actual grooming techniques. It further gives the
young viewer who might be experiencing any of these techniques in their lives
the ability to recognise that they might be in an exploitative situation and
the information on how to access methods of support and help. The film also
accompanies a comprehensive workshop to be used by facilitators and teachers
and can be downloaded free here.

Over the
last 15 years I have worked in the voluntary public and private sector. Using
my skills in Media communication and production, I have created films, theatre
productions and training programmes for professionals and the wider public
sometimes breaking down complex or taboo subjects. I have developed engaging
pathways for BAME communities and professionals to engage and interact in
meaningful ways. I am passionate about implementing change that empowers
individuals and organisations that are concerned with addressing a social good.
I enjoy managing and developing projects and programmes that impact peoples
lives in a positive and meaningful way.
